MSF Basic RiderCourse

The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic RiderCourse (BRC) is a nationally recognized rider training program. This extensive course is held over a three-day period and includes a 3-hour online learning component (eCourse), 5-hours of classroom instruction and 10-hours of on-motorcycle training. All training for the MSF BRC will be held at on the south shore of Suffolk County in Great River, NY. The BRC is a group class with up to 12 students and 2 instructors. Successful completion of the course results in a New York State road test waiver that combined with a NY State Motorcycle Learner’s permit will yield your motorcycle license endorsement. This course includes use of helmet, gloves and one of our training motorcycles. Course requirements are a NY State Driver’s license, (a Motorcycle Learner’s permit is recommended but not required for training – see Changes to Learner’s Permit Requirements and see our ride prerequisites), proper attire and punctual attendance for all sessions.
